Hundreds of Israelis and Palestinians have participated over the years, calling to change the current situation and to find a solution for the conflict
The PCFF Women’s Group was established in 2006, believing it is vital to act towards reconciliation between the two peoples and wishing to develop a meaningful dialogue between Palestinian and Israeli women, a dialogue that leads to mutual action and openness to the personal and national narrative of each group member. The group is comprised of bereaved Israeli and Palestinian mothers, wives, sisters and daughters who believe that the voice of women has a great impact and a unique power, and that it is their duty to voice it in public especially because of the violent existence and against public discussion, which is all too often unwelcoming of the female voice.
Throughout the years, the PCFF Women’s Group has produced a variety of significant activities and events all aimed towards spreading the word of reconciliation between the two nations.
Among the activities were the production of a special calendar, two art exhibitions, a photography exhibit entitled “The Presence of the Void” and a cook book entitled Jam Session, which includes stories of the women in the group. The group has also produced “Neighbors – Women Creating Reconciliation” which embodied several special events under that auspices, special activities for International Women’s Day, and even an international campaign entitled: “Taking Steps”, which gained a lot of attention.
Through their activities, these women seek to bring large audiences from both sides of the conflict, to open up and see the humanity of the other side and to realize the heavy price we all pay because of the conflict.
